I am Julian Ros.
Nice to meet you.
Ever since I was young, I've enjoyed telling stories. In fifth grade, I learned about YouTube, and using iMovie and a Flip video camera, my friends and I created a terrible short musical film about yogurt tubes. Since then, my passion for filmmaking and storytelling has continued to grow.
In 2018, I began attending Chapman University in Orange, CA, the fourth-ranked film school in the US. In 2022, I proudly graduated with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Documentary Filmmaking, along with a cluster in Media, Culture, and Society. While at school, I created several documentary shorts, including Hurricane Hannah and Padawan.
My professional journey also began in school, when I was the assistant editor on the animated documentary short Mama Has a Mustache. From there, I began to grow my freelance editing portfolio. I was the lead editor of the short film Condo at El Dorado. I also began working for showmelovejete, a travel influencer with over 1,000,000 follower. Additionally, I edited several comedic videos for the REACT channel, which boasts 20,000,000 subscribers.
After some time freelancing with REACT, I began working full-time with them as an Associate Producer and On-Camera Host. In this role, I created 6 videos a month for the REACT and Bullseye channels. I researched, scripted, filmed, hosted, and led post-production feedback on each of these videos. Additionally, I created new formats for the channels to premier to their audience, and assisted fellow producers with their scripting and episode formatting. You can view some of my favorite videos I made in this role on the home page of this site.
In my free time, I enjoy making music, digital and film photography, thrifting, and spending time with friends.
